Welcome to the RUMSC Website. This site acts as a gateway to the RUMSC community on the web. Not far from the capital city of Dhaka but away from the rumbling and humbling of city life, the magnificently designed educational edifice named RAJUK Uttara Model School and College stands proudly on Dhaka-Mymensingh Road (Asian Highway) close to Azampur bus-stand. It is situated in the heart of Uttara Model Town about one kilometer from the zooming Zia International Airport offering an imposing and eye catching view of the passers-by. With an accommodation capacity for about 1200 students the college is spread over four acres of land with sprawling playground lying in front of the main Academic Building. The absence of a truly standard educational institute in the area had led to the idea of founding an institution of very high standard in the line of reputed public Schools/Colleges and Cadet Colleges in the Bangladesh. Primarily the construction of the main academic building was completed and the college section was formally inaugurated in the Academic year 1994-1995. The formal classes of college section got off to a start in the academic year 1994-95. Due to acute shortage of infrastructural facilities a development project was taken up in the year 1995. Meanwhile separate buildings for the school & College sections have been constructed. Now all out efforts are underway to develop this institution into one of the best educational institutions of the country. And with this end on view the Ministry of Education of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh has constituted a very high powered Governing Body to ensure the speedy development, smooth management and further extension of the College. The College administration has been made autonomous in character. Salient Feature A salient feature of this institution is its conversion into a dynamic and realistic approach to its academic program by saying good-bye to time honored, monotonous and stereotype system of education prevailing in the country since a long time. This noble approach is expected to inculcate a substantial influence on the primary educational career of the young youthful students pursuing in institution and cast a far-reaching effect on them in challenging and overcoming highly competitive and complicated life very successfully. Besides, a well-coordinated council of the institution will aim at the learners attaining self-confidence, self-reliance, self-restrain and all around development of there character morally and spiritually.
